ECONOMYNEXT – A public share issued by Sri Lanka’s JAT Holdings, a wood finish and paint maker was oversubscribed after opening on July 20, the Colombo Stock Exchange said.
The offer had received subscriptions of 2.2 billion rupees on the opening day itself.
“We are happy to welcome JAT Holdings Limited as the tenth new listing and fourth equity listing for the year 2021 on the CSE with a successful equity IPO,” Stock Exchagne Chief Executive Rajeeva Bandaranaike said.
“2021 has been a significant year for the CSEas the capital market has facilitated 69.65 billion rupees of capital raised so far.
“We are confident of this growth trajectoryin establishing the CSE as a facilitator of capital.”
JAT Holdings offered 55.8 million shares at 27 rupees through a prospective issue and another 27 million shares of shares were offered for sale by an existing shareholder. (Colombo/July20/2021)
