Sri Lanka’s Kelsey Homes says starting 300 unit gated community
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s Kelsey Homes says it is launching a 300 unit housing project in Ja Ela, after the first phase of 70 units was sold out within a month despite challenging economic conditions.
The first phase of Central Park Ja-Ela was marketed from mid-May was sold out in a month.
Sri Lanka has controlled the spread of Coronavirus and economic activity is recovering.
“Despite the challenging economic climate, there was significant demand from customers,” the Kelsey Homes said.
The Second Phase will offer over 300 units made up of eight types of two, three and four bedroomed houses and apartment units starting from 8.9 million rupees.
All units are designed by Murad Ismail of MICD Associates while Deepal Wickremasinghe Associates (Pvt) Ltd are the Structural Engineers.
“Ja-Ela is a very central location that offers easy access to the city of Colombo,” Eardley Perera, Chairman of Kelsey Developments PLC said.
It is 5 minutes away from the entrance to the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway (E03), 20 minutes to Katunayake and 30 minutes to the upcoming ‘Port City’ via the Port Access Elevated Highway in 2022.
The Central Park is a gated development property that spreads across 15 acres in Ja-Ela and (Banyan) tree at the centre of the property.
It will have a mini market, cafe, bookshop, ATM facility, bill paying facility, salon, medical centre, daycare centre, laundry service, driver’s and maid’s quarters, auto charging station and washing bay.
It will have an outdoor gymnasium, indoor gymnasium, jogging track, basketball court, yoga center, a wellness center, swimming pool, roof terrace party area, outdoor BBQ area, open function hall facing the pool, open pavilion facing the pool, covered function hall and a club house.
