Sri Lanka’s NDB Bank gets new chief
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s listed National Development Bank Plc appointed a new Chairman in Kavantissa Ratnayaka with effect from 17 April, the bank said in a statement.
Ratnayaka replaces Ananda Atukorala.
Ratnayaka is a past chairman of the Sri Lanka Development Authority and state Associated Newspapers of Ceylon. He was also a director at state television network ITN.
He was the former group chief corporate officer for listed retail chain Cargills Ceylon Plc and telco Dialog Axiata Plc.
He was a Director at listed John Keells Plc and country for IBM.
Ratnayaka joined the NDB board in May 2015.
NDB last traded at 99 rupees. (COLOMBO, 18 April 2019-SB)
