Sri Lanka’s rupee closes at 201/203 to one-month dollar

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee closed steady at 201/203 levels in the one-month dollar on Thursday while bond yields remained unchanged, dealers said.

Sri Lanka’s rupee closed around 201/202 in the one-month forward market on Wednesday.

The Central Bank was quoting Telegraph Transfers (TT) rates of the dollar at 193.4/199.4 rupees.

In the secondary market, bond yields remained unchanged, dealers said.

Bonds maturing on 15.12.2022 closed flat at 5.95/05 per cent on Thursday from the previous day.

Bonds maturing on 15.11.2023 closed at 6.55/60 per cent on Thursday, up from 6.50/60 per cent on Wednesday.

Bonds maturing on 15.12.2024 closed at 6.85/95 per cent on Thursday, up from 6.80/90 per cent on Thursday.

A bond maturing on 01.05.2025 closed at 7.00/15 per cent on Thursday, down from 6.90/20 per cent on Wednesday.

A bond maturing on 01.02.2026 closed at 7.30/45 per cent on Thursday, down from 7.40/55 per cent on Wednesday.

A bond maturing on 15.08.2027 closed at 7.60/90 per cent on Thursday, down from 7.75/90 per cent on Wednesday.

A bond maturing on 01.05.2029 closed at 7.90/20 per cent.

A bond maturing on 15.05.2030 closed at 8.10/50 per cent.
