Sri Lanka’s rupee quoted stronger at 193.50/00 levels to the US dollar

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s rupee quoted stronger at 193.50/00 to the US dollar in the spot market on Tuesday, while some steady, dealers said.

The rupee last closed in the spot market at 193/194.25 to the dollar on Monday.

In the secondary market bond yields steady in dull market trade, dealers said.

A bond maturing on 15.12.2022 was quoted flat at 5.75/85 per cent on Tuesday.

A bond maturing on 01.10.2023 last closed at 6.00/15 per cent on Monday.

A bond maturing on 01.12.2024 was quoted at 6.70/78 per cent on Tuesday, steady from 6.70/80 per cent at Monday’s end.

A bond maturing on 01.05.2025 was not quoted at the moment, last closed at 6.80/95 per cent on Monday.

A bond maturing on 15.01.2026 was quoted at 7.05/12 per cent, up from 7.00/15 per cent at Monday’s end.

A bond maturing on 15.08.2027 was not quoted at the moment, last closed at 7.20/40 per cent on Monday.

A bond maturing on 15.05.2030 was not quoted at the moment, last closed at 8.00/20 per cent on Monday. (Colombo/Feb23/2021)
