Sri Lanka’s stocks end higher
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka stocks closed 0.51 per cent higher on Thursday pushed by index heavy stocks, Colombo Stock Exchange data showed.
Colombo’s main, All Share Price Index gained 29.87 points to end at 5,920.00.
S&P SL20 index of most liquid stocks gained 0.82 per cent or 19.31 points to close at 2,366.14.
Market turnover was 3.5 billion rupees with 102 stocks gaining and 84 making losses.
John Keells Holdings contributed most to ASPI’s gain, trading 2.10 rupees up at 134.00 rupees a share.
Other stocks which contributed to ASPI’s gain were Expolanka Holdings stocks climbed 1.30 rupees to trade at 17.90 rupees a share and Hayleys plc gained 32.20 rupees to trade at 351.70 rupees a share.
