Sri Lanka’s stocks open stronger
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s stocks opened 0.07 percent higher with buying seen in in LOLC Finance PLC, Dunamis Capital PLC and Sri Lanka Telecom PLC in the first half hour of trading, brokers said.
The Colombo stock exchange’s All Share Price Index (ASPI) opened 4.03 points up at 5,382.76.
The S&P SL20 index of more liquid stocks opened 0.33 percent up 8.19 points to 2,513.00.
The market turnover was 15 million with 26 stocks gaining and 8 stocks declining.
LOLC Finance PLC opened 10 cents up at 3.60 rupees a share and Dunamis Capital PLC opened 20 cents up at 26.00 rupees a share, contributing the most to the ASPI’s gain.
Sri Lanka Telecom PLC opened 60 cents down at 23.20 rupees a share.
