Sri Lanka’s UNP says reached deal with opposition

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s United National Party said it had reached an agreement with the opposition on setting up a national unity government.

"Both sides had to make sacrifices," UNP Chairman Malik Samarawickreme said in a statement.

"Those sacrifices were made for the benefit of the country."
