SriLankan Airlines in new wage deal with engineers union
EconomyNext – SriLankan Airlines said it has signed a new wage deal with its engineers that it said focuses on improving productivity and contributing to the national carrier’s business priorities.
The new Collective Agreement between SriLankan Airlines and the Association of Licensed Aircraft Engineers is for a period of three years from 2014.
"This agreement mutually recognises the importance of enhancing productivity and contributing to business priorities whilst addressing the needs of the aircraft engineers in keeping with industry trends and employee retention demands," it said.
"SriLankan engineers represent an integral component of the airline that makes a significant contribution towards its overall functioning and its mission to become the most preferred airline in Asia."
