SriLankan Airlines says staff allegedly linked to a visa fraud were suspended
ECONOMYNEXT – State-run SriLankan Airlines said four staff members allegedly linked to a visa fraud had been suspended from July 2020 and the carrier is co-operating with the authorities.
Referring to reports of four staff being arrested, the airline said the “employees are not engaged in any operation of the airline at present.”
“SriLankan Airlines is cooperating with law enforcement agencies in this regard,” the airline said in a statement.
Reports said the employees had been arrested and produced in court in a case related to fake visas to Europe. (Colombo/Sept16/2020)
