UK online math tutoring service expands in Sri Lanka

ECONOMYNEXT – Third Space Global, a UK-based online tutoring service has opened a regional office in Sri Lanka’s capita Colombo to expand the hiring and training of math tutors from the country.

The firm had worked with 16,000 children in 600 schools offering one-on-one tutoring, a statement said.

Chief Executive Roshan Nilaweera, a British-born person with Sri Lankan origins says the firm plans to create another 250 jobs in the next two years.

The firm now has 200 staff.

It employs mostly young people in their 20s, who are trained by the firm to work with their teaching platform.

The regional headquarters was formally opened on September 13 at Orion City in Colombo in the presence of Tom Hooper, founder of the parent UK firm.  (Colombo/Sep14/2017)
