Vietnam donates medical supplies to Sri Lanka

Deputy Foreign Minister Nam Nguyen Quoc Dung and Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Viet Nam Prasanna Gamage

ECONOMYNEX – Vietnam has donated medical supplies to Sri Lanka to help battle Coronavirus.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam Nguyen Quoc Dung had made a symbolic handing over medical supplies to Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Viet Nam Prasanna Gamage at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam in Ha Noi.

Deputy Minister Dung, while bestowing the donation, recalled the longstanding friendship between “the two countries and the mutual assistance extended during times of both hardship and prosperity,” the Foreign Ministry said.

“He further added that adversities such as the COVID – 19 pandemics have compelled and necessitated the world to re-examine the importance of international cooperation.”

Ambassador Gamage, had reaffirmed the continuity of Sri Lanka’s cooperation with Viet Nam and expressed his appreciation of the support given to countries in need. (Colombo/Aug16/2020)
