All island curfew tomorrow

ECONOMYNEXT – An islandwide curfew has been imposed on the whole island for tomorrow in order to bring back armed forces personnel who are on leave to their home bases, the government announced.

The curfew for all districts other than Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam was to have been lifted at 5 am tomorrow Monday.

However, the all-day and night curfew for the rest of the country has been reimposed. It will be lifted at 5.am on Tuesday, the announcement said.

Curfews are being relaxed for the “high-risk” Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara and Puttalam districts from May 4, with strict guidelines.

The government wants to open up the economy so that shops and offices can open to get the economy moving again.
