ECONOMYNEXT- Sri Lanka Health Authorities are conducting rapid antigen tests on people crossing the borders of the Western Province from today (18), a statement sent by the Ministry of Health said.
The operation will be facilitated by the Sri Lanka Police and Regional Department of Health services.
The tests will be conducted at three different exits of the Western Province from 0800 hours today and will be carried out until further notice.
“This is to identify risk of passengers in three locations of the western province and to prevent the disease spread in outer region” the statement said.
The three Western Province Locations are -:
Nittambuwa along the Kandy – Colombo road
Salawa, Kosgama along Avissawella – Colombo road
Katunayaka along Colombo – Chilaw road
