Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa will declare open the last two phases of the Southern Expressway tomorrow and the Road Development Authority says the final stretch of the highway will be open for public travel Sunday.
The last two phases, which have been completed are from Matara to Hambanthota which is a stretch of nearly 38 kilometres.
The RDA claims that from Sunday travellers can reach Kataragama from Kottawa in three and a half hours.
