COVID 19 – Eleventh fatality is a Kuwait returnee, Health Dept
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka has recorded the eleventh death from the COVID 19 pandemic, he was a 45-year-old man who had recently returned from Kuwait, the Health Department announced.
The Director-General Health Services Dr Anil Jasinghe said he had passed away at the Intensive Care Unit of the Homagama hospital this morning Monday, June 1.
The total number of patients detected ever since the outbreak is 1,633 as of yesterday, with 13 new patients being added.
The number of patients receiving treatments in the hospitals is 822 and 801 have recovered and been discharged, the Epidemiological Unit of the Ministry of Health reported. (SB-Colombo, June 1, 2020)
