COVID 19 – Officials trying to trace how last four patients became infected
ECONOMYNEXT – Health authorities are unsure as to how the last four patients who contracted COVID 19 got the infection, a senior health official said.
Of the patients diagnosed yesterday, 15 were from the Navy, which has seen a widespread infection in the armed force.
Officials are unsure how other four, including a nurse in the National Hospital in Colombo got the disease the Chief Epidemiologist Dr Sudath Samaraweera said.
“In previous cases we have been able to say how and from whom the patients testing positive for COVID 19 got the infection.”
“This time we are having some difficulty in finding that out,” he said. (Colombo May 6, 2020)
