ECONOMYNEXT – The islandwide curfew will be lifted on Monday, April 27 at 5.00 am for all districts in the country except for Colombo, Kalutara, Gampaha and Colombo Police Headquarters announced.
Curfew will be lifted for the four “at-risk” districts from May 4 under certain guidelines.
All government and private sector institutions will be expected to function from May 4 at one-third capacity and are expected to start work at 10 am.
It is left to each institution to determine the staff that needs to be brought to the offices to work and establishments are encouraged to have employees continue to work from home.
Employers may rotate the staff that needs to be brought into the office as they wish.
All others are expected to stay at home and only one person at a time is expected to leave the home and go to shops and pharmacies within walking distance.
