Dart Global to set up e-commerce capable Sri Lanka logistics centre
ECONOMYNEXT- Dart Global Express, a multinational logistics company operatig out of Sri Lanka is building a 3 million US dollar centre which will offer third party logistics including services for e-commerce, the state investment promotion office said.
The logistics centre will be built in Muthurajawela, north of the capital Colombo, bordering an expressway to the airport.
It will offer warehousing with as pay-as-you-use pricing, order fulfillment including pick and pack with bar coded shipping labor for e-commerce, the Board of Investment.
An investment agreement was signed with BOI Chairman Susantha Ratnayake, Chief Operating Officer of Jude Wijesundera and S Mohandas, Group CEO of Dart Global Logistics.
Dart Global Logistics started in 1983 in Colombo affliated to Hong Kong based Dart Express, but then expanded into India India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Dubai, Madagascar, Mauritius, Vietnam,
Indonesia, Cambodia, China, Myanmar & USA over the last 37 years.
