India gives Sri Lanka eight water tankers for drought relief

ECONOMYNEXT – India has handed over eight bowers to Sri Lanka and 100 metric tonnes of rice in drought relief.
High Commissioner (ambassador) for India in Colombo Taranjit Singh Sandhu handed over the truck-mounted tankers to President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat.
The trucks were purchased from Lanka Ashok Leyland for 25 million Sri Lankan rupees.
