ECONOMYNEXT- The Mobitel head office on W.A.D. Ramanayake Mawatha has been temporarily closed down to disinfect the premises because someone who may have had a contact with a COVID-19 patient visited the building, Mobitel Chief Executive Officer, Nalin Perera told EconomyNext.
“We suspect a third party who had contact with another person who had associated a COVID-19 patient came to our office, and as a precaution, we had to lock down the premises and sterilize,” Perera said.
“We have also informed the PHI officers as well.”
Further, in a media statement, Mobitel said they are proactively following the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health and other relevant government authorities and have implemented all relevant procedures in handling the situation.
“All our employees have been educated on the required measures to be taken during such contingency and all relevant precautionary control measures were set in place at all Mobitel premises,” the statement said (Colombo, July 14, 2020-sb)
