ECONOMYNEXT – More Sri Lankan companies have ventured into exports in the past 10 years, according to a survey done by the International Trade Centre, its Executive Director Arancha Gonzalez said.
She said the ITC had done a survey of Sri Lankan firms in 2010.
“Many firms told us – especially small ones – that they were not part of international trade,” Gonzalez said.
“If this is a first-time exporter, it means you have helped break the psychological barrier in making the first external transaction”
