Most of Colombo Central to be isolated from Monday morning – Army Commander
ECONOMYNEXT – Five more areas in the City of Colombo will be isolated from 5:00 AM on Monday, Nov 16, and they are Maradana, Fort, Pettah, Slave Island and Dam street the Army Commander Lt Gen Shavendra Silva said.
The already isolated areas of the commercial capital will stay the same, Silva who also heads the Covid Prevention Task Force said.
Isolation will continue in Negombo, Ja-Ela, Ragama, Kadawatha, Wattala, Peliyagoda and Kelaniya.
The isolation orders for all other areas of the Gampaha district will be lifted from 5:00am tomorrow.
The Ministry of Information also said that the total number of new Covid positive cases for the day is 214 as of this evening.
At the Boossa Prison 44 inmates have tested positive bringing the total Covid positive count in the Prisons to 329. (Colombo, November 14, 2020)
