O/L candidates not affected by adverse weather so far – DMC
There have been no reports of students sitting for their G. C. E. Ordinary Level (O/L) examinations this year being affected by the prevailing adverse weather conditions thus far, Disaster Management Centre (DMC) Assistant Director Pradeep Kodippili said.
Speaking to RepublicNext, Kodippili said that if a student is unable to reach the examination centre assigned to them due to bad weather, they can sit for the exam at the closest examination centre.
“We are carrying out a special programme in collaboration with the Examinations Department to assist O/L candidates who are affected by the inclement weather. We have boats ready to use if necessary,” Kodippili said.
The G. C. E. O/L exams commenced this morning (02), with a total of 717,000 candidates eligible to take part.
