Ogilvy PR Sri Lanka wins top regional awards

ECONOMYNEXT – Ogilvy Public Relations Sri Lanka said it had won a top Asia Pacific award beating 1,200 other entries and is in the running for its global contest.

The PR firm’s ‘Uncover the Truth’ campaign for Sri Lanka’s Right to Information Act had won the gold award in the Charities and Not-For-Profit category and the Best-in-Show campaign at the SABRE APAC Awards 2017.

The SABRE Awards Show is the world’s largest public relations awards competition, the firm said.

It covers North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), South Asia and the Asia-Pacific regions.

This campaign for Transparency International Sri Lanka (TISL) had educated the Sri Lankan public on the Right to Information (RTI) Act, which came into effect on 4th February, 2017.

The PR campaign titled ‘Uncover the Truth’, was carried on Sri Lanka’s Neth FM radio station and its online channels, to promote RTI usage among the public. (Colombo/Sept21/2017)
