Over 40 assault rifle rounds found in Hizbullah’s office – Police
Police recovered over 40 T-56 assault rifle rounds and several other allegedly suspicious items in a raid carried out in the offices of Eastern Province Governor M. L. A. M. Hizbullah yesterday.
The suspicious items included some computer parts, said Police. Two individuals were also taken into custody.
However, Hizbullah in a statement said that the recovered T-56 rounds were provided by the Kattankudi Police to his bodyguards.
“Those bullets are completely legal. My bodyguards were taken to the Police to obtain statements. We have no connection with those bullets,” he said.
