Sheahan Arasaratnam made head of Standard Chartered Sri Lanka retail banking
ECONOMYNEXT- Sheahan Arasaratnam, a banker with over 25 years of experience as head of retail banking in Sri Lanka, Standard Chartered said.
He was previously consultant/General Manger, head of retail products and Union Bank of Nigeria.
He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and holds a Masters in Business Administration from Edith Cowan University, Australia.
"Sheahan is a passionate advocate of great service and the key role it can play in fulfilling clients’business and personal financial goals and ambitions" Bingumal Thewarathanthri, CEO, Standard Chartered Sri Lanka said in a statement.
"His international exposure from his assignments overseas will certainly provide a valuable perspective as he drives the bank’s Retail Banking unit."

Prior to moving to Nigeria, Arasaratnam had worked with with Standard Chartered as the Head of Retail Product/ Segments for three years,
He had also worked as head of retail products for West Africa covering Nigeria, Ghana, The Gambia and Sierra Leone.
