Singapore ready for collective counter-terrorism effort
Cooperation in counter-terrorism figured in discussions between Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and Singapore Law & Order Minister K. Shanmugam in Singapore today.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Wickremesinghe who is an official visit to Singapore has held discussions with Shanmugam on how counter-terrorism measures can be collectively implemented by both countries.
Socioeconomic and political matters have also been discussed, the PM’s office said.
The Law & Order Minister has assured the Sri Lankan Prime Minister of assistance in the country’s efforts to establish peace in the region.
Singapore’s Foreign Affairs Minister V. Balakrishnan and Sri Lanka’s non-resident High Commissioner to Singapore Chandra Das were also present at today’s meeting.
