SITTI wins Sri Lanka airport voice communications systems deal
ECONOMYNEXT – SITTI S.P.A., an Italian firm making air traffic control voice communication systems has won a contract to supply communications systems to Sri Lanka’s Bandaranaike International Airport and Ratmalana Airport, a government spokesman said.
Health minister Rajitha Senaratne told a news conference the contract is for supplying, fixing and executing a communication system for the two airports.
The Cabinet of Ministers this week approved a proposal for the deal presented by Nimal Siripala de Silva, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation.
The contract, worth 1.7 million euro and Rs.6 million, will enhance operational efficiency at the two airports.
