S&P rates Sri Lanka sovereing bonds ‘B+’
ECONOMYNEXT – Standard and Poor’s has rated Sri Lanka’s 5 and 10 year bonds which were marketed on April 11, ‘B+’ in line with the country’s rating.

Sri Lanka’s Proposed Senior Unsecured Notes Assigned ‘B+’ Long-Term Foreign Currency Rating
SINGAPORE (S&P Global Ratings) April 12, 2018–S&P Global Ratings today assign ed its ‘B+’ long-term foreign currency rating to the proposed benchmark
sized U.S. dollar-denominated senior unsecured notes issued by Sri Lanka (B+/Stable/B).
The notes represent direct, general, unconditional, unsecured, a nd unsubordinated obligations of the sovereign, and rank equally with the sovereign’s other unsecured and unsubordinated debt obligations.
