Sri Lanka 01-year Treasuries yield rises to 9.70-pct
ECONOMYNEXT – The yield on 12-month Sri Lankan Treasury Bills rose further at an auction Wednesday, to reach 9.70%, up 04 basis points from the previous week, the public debt department said.
The central bank sold Rs23.5 billion rupees of 12-month Treasury Bills at the auction, having offered Rs14 billion worth of bills and getting bids worth Rs48.7 billion.
The public debt department resumed sales of 03-month bills after three weeks and sold Rs2 billion worth of bills, after offering Rs4 billion and getting bids of Rs14.5 billion, with the yield rising 08 basis points to 8.32%.
It rejected bids for 06 month bills, according to a statement.
The bank accepted a total of Rs25,5 billion in bills, the exact amount offered, having got bids worth Rs79.6 billion.
