Sri Lanka 12-month Treasuries yield falls to 9.66-pct

ECONOMYNEXT – Yields on Sri Lankan Treasury Bills, which had been rising since January, fell at an auction Wednesday, with the 12-month bill yield falling 04 basis to 9.66% from last week, the public debt department said.
The central bank sold Rs22 billion rupees of 12-month Treasury Bills at the auction, having offered Rs15 billion worth of bills and getting bids worth Rs51.5 billion.

The yield on 03-month bills, whose sales were resumed last week after three weeks, also fell, down 15 basis points to 8.17% from last week.

The public debt department sold Rs4 billion worth of 03-month bills, the same amount offer, after getting bids of Rs15 billion.

It rejected bids for 06 month bills, according to a statement.

The bank accepted a total of Rs26 billion in bills, the exact amount offered, having got bids worth Rs84 billion.
