Sri Lanka bond yields sharply up at auction

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka has sold 50 billion rupees in 5-year bonds and 30 billion rupees in 10-year after offering the same volume, data from the state debt office showed.
The 5-year bonds maturing on 15.03.2023 were sold at a weighted average yield of 10.68 percent.
A close maturity of 27.01.08.2023 closed at 10.08/18 on March 27.
The 10-year bonds maturing on 01.09.2028 were sold at the action at a weighted average yield of 11.18 percent.
The same maturing closed at 10.35/25 percent levels before the auction.
