Sri Lanka Coronarus curfew to continue, break for most districts Monday
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka has declared another work-from-week from Monday April 06, while curfew will be lifted in most districts from 0600h to 1400h, the office of the President said.
“The curfew imposed in the districts of Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Puttalam, Kandy and Jaffna which have been identified as High Risk Zones will continue until further notice,” the President’s office said.
“In all other districts, curfew will be lifted at 6.00am tomorrow, Monday the 6th and will be re-imposed at 2.00 pm on the same day. The re-imposed curfew will continue until further notice.”
“The week from tomorrow, Monday the 6th April to Friday, the 10thApril has been declared a period of work from home for the public as well as the private sector institutes.”
Traveling to and from all districts has been completely prohibited except for the purpose of providing essential services.
Sri Lanka had confirmed 167 Covid-19 cases by 1530hours Sunday, the health ministry said. (Colombo/Apr05/2020)
