Sri Lanka Cricket will dedicate final ODI to Kulasekara
Sri Lanka cricket (SLC) announced that the 3rd and Final ODI between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will be dedicated to famed fast bowler and T20 World Cup winner Nuwan Kulasekara.
SLC will invite the bowler to witness the 03rd ODI and a felicitation ceremony will also be held for the Swinger following the match.
The fast bowler, who made his Sri Lanka debut during an ODI game against England in the year 2003, played a key part in Sri Lanka’s T20 Men’s World Cup victory in 2014.
“Kulasekara was a leader and played a unique role in his time with the Sri Lanka Cricket National Team, his contributions brought tremendous success to the National Team”, said Shammi Silva, President of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board.
“Nuwan Kulasekara was an exemplary characted on and off the field which young cricketers can learn about as well”., said the Chief Executive Officer of Sri Lanka Cricket, Ashley De Silva.
The 3rd and Final ODI between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will be played at the R. Premadasa stadium in Colombo, tomorrow (31 July) at 2.30pm.
