Sri Lanka cuts petrol to Rs136 a litre, diesel unchanged
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka will cut the price of 92 octane petrol by 2 rupees to 136 rupees a litre but keep the cheaper diesel fuel unchanged at 104 rupees a litre from midnight Tuesday, the finance ministry said.
The price of 95 octane petrol will be cut by two rupees to 161 rupees a litre, a statement said.
Super diesel has been cut by two rupees to 132 rupees a litre.
The finance ministry said the government was cutting fuel prices in response to lower world market prices.
