Sri Lanka military in flood relief operations
ECONOMYNEXT – Over 1,600 soldiers from the Sri Lanka Army are engaged in flood and landslide relief operations in badly affected areas.
Armored troop carriers were going through flooded roads impassable to ordinary vehicles for rescue and relief work.
Army medical teams are also treating displaced persons.
Army Commander, Lieutenant General Crisanthe De Silva was in Bulathsinhala on May 27.
