Sri Lanka offers Rs34bn 3, 4 and 9-year bonds
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka has called bids to sell 34 billion rupees of bonds with tenors of 3, 4 and 9-years, the state debt office said.
The debt office offered 12 billion rupees of 3-year maturing on 01.05.2019, 12 billion rupees of 5-year bonds maturing on 01.03.2021 and 9-year bonds maturing on 01.08.2025.
The auction closes on June 30 and settlement is on July 01.
There is an estimated coupon payments of over 40 billion rupees due on July 01. A Treasury bill auction also closes today.
Earlier this week, the central bank sold 23 billion rupees in bonds after offering 30 billion rupees. (Colombo/June29/2016)
