Sri Lanka petrol, diesel prices down by Rs5 a litre
ECONOMYNEXT – The price of standard 92 Octcane petrol was cut by 5 rupees a litre to 140 rupees and diesel by 5 rupees to 111 rupees a litre, from midnight November 14, after Gamini Lokuge, who has been appointed minister of Petroleum by President Maithripala Sirisena announced the changes.
Super petrol (Octane 95) was cut to 5 rupees to 164 and Super diesel was cut by 5 rupees to 136.
Kerosene will remain at 70 rupees.
Mahinda Rajapaksa in statement in parliament on November 14 said he has asked the Petroleum Minister to cut fuel prices. (Colombo/Nov15/2018)
