Sri Lanka petrol, diesel prices unchanged in August, premium fuels up
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s 92-Octane standard petrol will be held at 145 rupees a litre and auto diesel at 118 rupees, but premium fuels will go up from August 10, Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera said.
Super diesel will go up by 01 rupee to 130 rupees and Octane 95 petrol will go up by 2 rupees to 167, he said.
Though international fuel prices started to fall last month, uncertainty in the Middle East drove up prices over the last week, Samaraweera said.
Sri Lanka is market pricing fuels based on Singapore FOB refined prices, taxes and margins, with a committee sitting on the first week of the month. (Colombo/Aug10/2018)
