Sri Lanka politicos beat Ukraine tourists in Coronavirus: Minister
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s members of parliament were currently ahead of Ukraine tourists in Coronavirus confirmations, co-cabinet minister Udaya Gammanpila said.
“Up to January 08, 1,004 tourists have come from Ukraine,” Minister Gammanpila told reporters.
“The opposition is creating a campaign of fear that there is great threat from Coronavirus. “According to the anti-Covid-19 task force only three Ukraine tourists have got Coronavirus.
“That is less than 0.03 percent.
“So far out of 225 members of parliament 03 have got Coronavirus.
He said from January 21, Sri Lanka’s airports would be opened for more commercial traffic.
Minister Gammanpila said 69,707 Sri Lankan expatriates had returned from abroad, and 1,807 had been confirmed with Coronavirus. (Colombo/Jan08/2021)
