Sri Lanka President to open Ceylon Chamber economic forum
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to inaugurate the annual economic forum organised by Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) on 1 December, a media statement said.
“The flagship summit will be held on a virtual format in compliance with health guidelines and will bring together key policymakers, business leaders, as well as the input of top international thought leaders, will come together to identify the steps in developing the pathway towards the accelerated and people-centric revival of the country’s economy,” CCC said.
The forum is themed “Roadmap for Take-off: Driving a People-Centric Economic Revival” and will commence at 8.30 am on 1 December on virtual platforms.
The Guest of Honour is Ajith Nivard Cabraal – State Minister of Money and Capital market and State Enterprise Reforms.
The welcome address will be delivered by Hans Wijayasuriya – Chairman of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
The keynote speech will be delivered by Nirmala Sitharaman – Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs of the Republic of India.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa will launch the second phase of the summit on 02 December and participate in the VVIP session.
Participants may register for the entire two-day virtual summit or pick the sessions of their choice.
