Sri Lanka rupee, bond yields flat at open
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka rupee was quoted flat at 184.90/185.10 against the US dollar on Tuesday from Monday’s closing while bond yields too were unchanged, dealers said.
In the secondary government securities markets, bond yields were flat in dull mid-morning trade with no maturity showing high liquidity, dealers said.
A 2-year bond maturing on 15.12.2022 was quoted at 5.55/60 percent on Tuesday, unchanged form Monday’s closing.
A bond maturing on 15.01.2023 was quoted at 5.55/65 percent, down from 5.58/65 percent at the previous closing.
A bond maturing on 15.09.2024 was quoted at 6.05/12 percent on Tuesday, unchanged from Monday’s closing at 6.05/10 percent.
A bond maturing on 01.05.2025 was quoted at 6.35/40 percent on Tuesday, up from 6.32/40 percent at the previous day’s closing.
A bond maturing on 01.02.2026 was quoted at 6.50/55 percent, flat from the previous close.
A bond maturing on 15.08.2027 was quoted at 6.90/7.02 percent, down from 6.95/7.00 percent at Friday’s end.
A 10-year bond maturing on 15.05.2030 was quoted at 7.28/38 percent, up from 7.27/35 percent at the previous day’s closing. (Colombo/Aug25/2020)
