Sri Lanka sells more short term bills, yields barely up

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s Treasury bills yields barely rose with the 3-month yield up 02 basis points to 8.86 percent with 12.3 billion rupees of bills being sold, data from the state debt office showed. The debt office also sold 10.4 billion rupees of bills at 9.83 percent, up 03 basis points. A small 1.16 billion rupee volume of 12-month bills were sold at 10.55 percent, up 01 basis point from a week earlier. A total of 23.94 billion rupees of bills were sold. (Colombo/June22/2016)
