ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka has sold 70.9 billion rupees of Treasury bills at an auction on Wednesday after offering 85 billion with most of the money coming from three months and one year bills, data from the state debt office showed.
The debt office sold 38.2 billion rupees in 3-month bills at 29.83 percent, down 05 basis points from a week earlier, after offering 45 billion rupees.
Only 9.7 billion rupees in 6-month bills were sold at 28.67 percent, down 05 basis points from a week earlier after offering 20 billion rupees.
A total of 22.8 billion rupees of 12-month bills were sold at 27.71 percent, down one basis points from a week earlier after offering 20 billion. (Colombo/Feb 15/2023)
