Sri Lanka takes part in Pakistani anti-terror exercise

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lankan security forces are taking part in a trilateral military exercise called ‘Eagle Dash-I’ in Pakistan with Pakistani and Maldivian units.

The two-week long exercise focuses on counter terrorism operations and sharing of field combat experience of the three armed forces, the Pakistani high commission said in a statement.

Foreign military delegates from Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives and South Africa witnessed the exercise.

Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif visited the National Counter Terrorism Training Centre (NCTC), Pabbi where the exercise is being held.
