Sri Lanka Telecom field tests LTE-Advanced Pro
ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka Telecom, which has fixed and wireless networks said it had successfully tested LTE-Advanced Pro technology which it hopes to launch commercially by the end of the year.
SLT said downlink speeds of 855.9Mbps was reached for a single user terminal with Advanced Carrier Aggregation technology.
The trial used to 2500MHz band, firm said in a June 05, datelined statement.
The firm said it was the first telco in South Asia to test the technology.
LTE-Advanced is a step up technology for 5G (fifth generation mobile).
