Sri Lanka Telecom ties up with Virtusa to ramp up digital services

ECONOMYNEXT  – Sri Lanka Telecom Plc, the island’s only fixed line operator said it had tied up with Virtusa, a technology firm to boost digital services to customers and automate backend services, cutting costs.

“In our goal towards bringing about a digitally transformed nation, we continue to partner with key organizations that possess the expertise that we can leverage on,” Kiththi Perera, Chief Executive Officer of SLT said in a statement.

“All of these establishments will have a significant impact on Sri Lanka’s economy and help our nation achieve great strides in its journey of becoming the digital hub in the region.”

SLT will revamp its digital customer platforms and also automate back-end operations.

Sumudu Gunawardhana, Vice President Client Services of Virtusa said it had strong digital engineering expertise to support SLT to boost ICT use in the country.  (Colombo/Aug25/2019)
