Sri Lanka to allow citizens stranded over Coronavirus at 11 airports to return

TRAVEL BLOCK: Sri Lanka progressively closed the airport for arriving passengers starting from Italy. Many other airports are also partially closed with travellers not allowed to enter the countries.

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka will allow over two dozen citizens stranded at several airports around the world over restrictions imposed to halt the spread of Coronavirus to return to Sri Lanka, Minister Ramesh Pathirana said.

Sri Lanka has banned arriving passengers at all airports until further notice.

There were 05 persons in Oman, 3 in Dubai, 7 in Singapore, 01 in Ethiopia, 02 in Turkey, 01 in Maldives, 02 in London, 01 in Seychelles, 01 in Papua New Guinea, 01 in Lisbon and 05 in Cairo he said.

SriLankan Airlines also halted passenger flights this week.
