Sri Lanka to buy 300,000MT of LPG from Shell

ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s state-run Litro Gas has struck a deal to buy 300,000 metric tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas from Shell International Eastern Trading Company, according to a cabinet decision.

Litro Gas will pay the Saudi Aramco contract price plus 47.50 US dollars per metric tonne of LPG.

The cabinet of minister had approved a proposal Public Enterprises Development Minister Kabir Hashim to purchase LGP for 2017-201.

Litro Gas was earlier owned by Shell. (Colombo/Sept15/2017)
